AgeCalc ("we", "us") is built around a simple rule: your dates of birth and the ages you calculate are yours. This page explains exactly what data is involved when you use the site and what we do with it.

Calculations Happen in Your Browser

Every date and age calculation on AgeCalc - age, date difference, birthday countdown, age comparison, dog/cat/baby age - runs entirely in JavaScript on your own device. The dates you type into a calculator are never transmitted to, or stored on, any server.

Saved Birthdays and Sign-In

If you choose to sign in to save a person's birthday for quick reuse, the name and date you save are written only to your own browser's local storage (localStorage) - not to a database we control. Signing out or clearing your browser's site data removes this information completely. We do not receive a copy of any name or birthday you save.

Cookies and Analytics

AgeCalc uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic to the site - for example, which pages are popular and roughly how visitors find us. Google Analytics sets its own cookies and collects standard analytics data such as your approximate location, device/browser type, and the pages you visit; it does not receive any date of birth or other information you type into a calculator, since those never leave your browser. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking site-wide using a browser extension such as Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies/scripts from googletagmanager.com and google-analytics.com in your browser settings.

Beyond Google Analytics, AgeCalc does not run any other third-party advertising or tracking scripts. Local browser storage (localStorage) is also used for your theme preference (light/dark), language choice, and any birthdays you explicitly choose to save.

Information We Do Collect

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability purposes. This is standard server-log data and is not linked to any birthday or calculation you enter.

Children's Privacy

AgeCalc, including the Baby Age calculator, is a browser-based tool intended for use by parents and other adults, not for direct use by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
